Rap superstar 50 CENT has denied he is to sign a new branding deal with media mogul RUPERT MURDOCH’s company - worth $300 million (GBP150 million).
The In Da Club hitmaker - real name Curtis Jackson - was reported to be in final negotiations with Murdoch’s News Corp firm - which owns social networking site MySpace - for a large stake in all aspects of the 50 Cent brand, including music, concerts and books.
The agreement was also reported to be taking his label G-Unit Records and its roster of artists to News Corp’s MySpace Records umbrella.
But Jackson’s manager Chris Lightly has dismissed the reported merger, telling Allhiphop.com it is just “rumours”.
